Prologue

It is significant to find the face of a genuine author through timeless and fragmented flashes. Exploring the images of the series Fractions is, above all, admiring what is offered to us. On the threshold of the representations, the artist emerges sometimes in a mirror , a reflection, a shadow or a mask. Beyond allegories, in my opinion, key topics in photography manifest themselves: the blurring and time traces. The delicate lights that dress up Ana Casal’s photographs lead us to the subtleness of the visible.
